You can also explore the Soviet War Memorial which has an extensive collection of black and white photos of Berlin from before and during the war.
Walk across the Berlin wall
If you are going to Berlin for the first time, there is no way you can miss a visit to the grand Berlin Wall. This wall once divided Berlin into two parts but was taken down after the Second World War was over. Though, the majority of the wall was demolished, a small section of it still remains at the East Side Gallery which has been painted by more than 100 artists with their own interpretations of peace.

One of the biggest forest area in Berlin, Grunewald is a great option if you want to escape the city noise and find some serenity in the woods. You can pack up a picnic and discover the forest area either by foot on hired bicycles and if the heat is getting to you, you can dive into any of the Grunewald’s freshwater lakes – Wannsee or Schlachtensee. There is also a big man-made hill here called Teufelsberg which was built during the World War II by the Allies for protection.

Berlin is the place to party every weekend, in fact most of the clubs have never ending parties which extend to more than 48 hours.
